About Carson Lansdowne
I work to engineer the infrastructure that will allow humanity to sustainably re-industrialize in outer-space and preserve our garden home planet, Earth. Currently, I am an Electrical Systems Engineer at Blue Origin, where I work on batteries, solar arrays, and design & integrate power distribution systems on spacecraft. I have a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering as well as a Certificate in Computational Engineering from U.T. Austin. I'm working on a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Washington, focusing on Control & Energy Systems.Particularly interested in leveraging software and data to improve hardware and industrial systems. The applications of this are vast, from robotics and industrial compactification to power grids and sustainable farming. Our world is beautiful and we must keep it so for all humans and creatures.I believe in working with atoms, pushing my own & humanity's limits, and skin in the game. I enjoy analyzing, simplifying, and automating complex systems in highly collaborative environments. I spent several years in undergrad building a liquid bi-propellant spaceshot rocket and served as the Director of Operations on the project. In my undergrad senior year research, I built numerical and machine learning tools to track orbital debris.
