I am a student, studying advertising at Virginia Tech. I have years of specialized experience aiding people in work environments, owning a business, and customer service that has peaked my interest in pursuing a degree in advertising. Prior to college, I worked at a running store where customer service was of upmost importance. I had to adjust to an ever changing environment and learn to be a personable and social person. I found great satisfaction and honor while playing a key role in the success of the business. I then transitioned to a job at a tennis and sports center where I furthered my customer service abilities and honed in on my time management skills through scheduling customers on the tennis courts as well as the soccer turf and batting cages. I began to realize how each section of a business plays an intricate roll in the ebb and flow of a business. For 3 years my brother and I have also owned a landscape company where customer satisfaction is our number one priority. We grasped the concepts of financials through pricing the services we provided as well as gaining experience from both the labor intensive end and analytical perspectives of operating a business. I am a great leader, listener, and relator. I operated as the captain of both the Fitch Falcons cross country and track teams. This opportunity taught me the attributes required to be a successful leader in a constantly evolving environment, gave me a chance to relate to and motivate each and every team member and ultimately assisted in solidifying my adaptability in a cooperative and team oriented space.Outside of being a full-time student, business owner, or employee I enjoy running, biking, hiking, and being outdoors. I am an adventurous person and have set many goals throughout my life such as standing at the highest point in every state, running a half marathon (13.1 miles) before I turned 13, and running up Mount Washington (the tallest mountain in New England and 8th highest mountain East of the Mississippi River).
