I worked as a Software Engineer on Zalando's core payment platform, developing secure and highly available checkout solutions. Some of my accomplishment were:- Migrated applications out of on-premise datacenters onto the AWS cloud and Kubernetes- Developed new core payment microservices for the Zalando fashion platform- Developed an automated load testing platform to verify Black Friday readiness- Rearchitected DynamoDB database schemas to optimize for response times at scale

Worked as a Software Engineer on the virtual power plant platform team. The platform aggregates distributed power plants from all over Europe for the purposes of stabilizing power grids, as well as trading or selling power on the electricity market. My accomplishments were:- Developed ETL data pipelines ingesting electricity market data into on premise Data Warehouses - Implemented complex real-time streaming applications aggregating distributed power plant state- Lead development of machine learning capabilities that can predict wind park power output in real-time- Worked closely with customers and stakeholders to resolve issues

Working on a backend software called eva/3 which provides settlement services for health insurances in Germany and Austria. Built the Austrian settlement services from the ground up.
