The prototypes was a part of the online GridPortal system making it possible to analyze the company's power and energy consumption real time (W and Wh in 1 minute interval), and control it from the web as at part of a smart grid system. My job included hardware, embedded software and mechanical design (housing and foil).A part of my job was to ensure that the web development team in Ukraine was developing the right product for the concept including making mockups and specifications. The prototypes consisted of a wireless Zigbee power meter with internal relay and a controller/concentrator to collect all measurements and send them to the cloud system.
