Carter Clark is the President & CEO for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Crescent Region where he oversees 110 clubs spread over 16 counties in South Carolina serving over 8,500 participants weekly. He has been in the movement for 37 years as a BGC professional, 25 years as Executive Director/CEO. He received his MBA from Georgia State, and his BS in Child Psychology from The University of Minnesota. In 20 years as CEO for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Crescent Region the organization grew from 2 locations serving 50 youth daily and 300 annually to 110 locations serving over 6,000 youth daily and 20,000 annually. He created the BE GREAT Academy a school based after school program, and BE GREAT University a professional development program. Led organization through national accreditation with Council of Accreditation, and state licensing (first non-profit to achieve licensing in South Carolina).
