I am currently working towards my MSc in the Department of Resource Economics and Environmental Sociology at the University of Alberta, having previously earned a BSc in Environmental & Conservation Sciences with a concentration in Human Dimensions of Environmental Management also at the University of Alberta. Throughout my adult life, I have engaged deeply with issues and topics of environmental management, environmental education, community participation, and the climate justice movement. Having grown up in the small town of Hinton, Alberta, my upbringing was rooted deeply in multiple resource economies, and I am no stranger to some of the socioeconomic and ecological dialogue that arises when discussing the multiple global crises that we face today. I am very interested in engaging with these issues and hope to contribute in some fashion to the growing dialogue working towards solutions.
