  Over 6 months, I had the opportunity to work as a junior engineer through Northeastern's co-op program at EAI. The majority of my progression as an engineer during this time came through continuous AutoCad use. I was able to use and develop AutoCad skills to complete site plans with adequate stormwater runoff planning, utility development, and within specified zoning requirements. In the office I was also given the opportunity to learn and complete various project calculations in HydroCad. On a less technical side, specific projects required Notices of Intent, WPA forms, and complete maps of the site. These projects allowed me to research and gain familiarity with environmental protection and zoning laws throughout Massachusetts. Each project required a set of 5 figures which included USGS, orthographic, NHESP, FEMA, and soils maps. I utilized gis and MassMapper in order to extract the necessary maps for specific projects. The projects ranged from single-family houses to schools, to 150+ unit developments. I had the opportunity to travel to various of these sites that we were working on. On said site visits, I was able to take part in soil evaluations, site surveying using a laser level, and utility measurements.
