As an 11th-generation farmer and leader in agricultural equity, I am deeply committed to fostering inclusive, sustainable practices that honor both cultural heritage and environmental stewardship. With experience managing large-scale projects, developing culturally relevant agricultural programs, and securing significant funding for community initiatives, I strive to bridge gaps in knowledge, resources, and opportunities for farmers across all backgrounds.I currently lead Africulture, a nonprofit dedicated to educating communities on the contributions of African-descended people to global agriculture. Through Africulture, I develop resources, lead workshops, and consult with organizations on food security, social and economic parity, and racial equity within agriculture. My work has extended internationally, with projects in Ghana, Kenya, and Israel, where I’ve collaborated on organic farming and climate resilience initiatives.Whether I’m consulting on sustainable farming practices, teaching my "Africulture" course at the University of Virginia, or mentoring youth, I am dedicated to advancing a more equitable and resilient agricultural future.
