As a student at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, I am working towards my degree in International Consulting and Economics. My favorite classes so far have been Technology and Business Analytics, the Global Business Environment, and the Statistical Analysis of Business and Economics. My interest in these areas is driven by my fondness for solving complex problems, using a variety of techniques as well as critical thinking. This held especially true for the many businesses I had started, dating back to elementary school. I have always been driven by opportunities to test new approaches and add transferable skills to my repertoire.A recent venture of mine has been the adoption of the “Risk Officer” role within my Fraternity, Phi Delta Theta. This has been a fun new opportunity to evolve my risk assessment and mitigation skills, as well as contributing to the general management as part of the executive board.Looking to a past venture, as Captain of my high school hockey team, I learned first-hand the importance of being a strong leader, while working on a team. Goals are only accomplished through good leadership, informed strategy, thorough preparation, and trust in your team to execute. As a Peer Tutor for “K201: the Computer in Business”, a computer analytics class, I am glad to be able to share my skills with other students, and see them thrive while obtaining valuable data organization, manipulation, and presentation skills.
