My favorite core subjects in school were Mathematics and History. I enjoyed Mathematics because of the practicality. I enjoyed History because I believe that we can move past our mistatkes and imperfections to work together. My primary goal is to understand people and treat them with respect and kindness. I began to learn this at Chic-Fil-A. I learned hard work and dedication both by working part-time at the restaurant and assisting my Dad at home by building, tinkering, and problem solving together.UNCG taught me how to build relationships and work together both inside and outside class. The sense of community I felt between me and my friends as we met in the library and taught and retaught each other for each exam is life-changing.Throughout my last years in high school and college, I volunteered in a worship band. Being in a group setting and working towards a common goal helped my attitude adjusting into common and gave me a close circle of people that I could both trust and respect.
