Analyzing and understanding data analysis, meta-genomics and the human microbiome, I worked with computational programs to fully realize and understand large data. I worked closely with Dr. Jonathan Clayton and Dr. Syafinaz Amin-Nordin on an international study of the human gut microbiome resulting in a publication in Sage journals: Evolutionary Bioinformatics.

I was part of a group which was able to be apart of volunteer efforts, and biological research in Colonia La Libertad. My focus was understanding bioinformatics and data analysis from Dr. Gabriel Vargas, as well as assisting the community throughout the experience.

I was a member of a group which volunteered and researched Leaf Cutter ants within Costa Rica. With guidance from Dr. Adrian Pinto, the group studied two species of ant: Atta Cephalotes, and Acromyrmex. This experience greatly expanded my scientific ability, and allowed for a diversification of skills.
