If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." - Ferris BuellerIf you were to ask high-schooler me where you would've thought I'd end up, I wouldn't have a clue in the world. I spent all my time hoping and biding by with the minimum needed for success. That was until 10th grade when I was accepted into the Essex Technical Program. There I learned the skills I needed to be a successful player in the career field, both on and off the sidelines. I got to get in-house experience with the tools that I am now attending college with, and I even got to take some of my friends on this ride as well! That isn't to say that it was an easy road, duh. I mean, what good would a movie life be? When I began high school here in Vermont, my family and I were at a pretty rough point in our lives. One thing I always remembered, however, was how much a trooper my mother would be, regardless of the circumstances. I strive to one day hold that same valor that I saw and still see in her today. Without her, I don't think I would've been attending my dream of college, experiencing life just as fast as I can take it in. Now I'm studying Game Design at Champlain College to hopefully continue the educational status that I got in high school by teaching classes of my own one day! I know it's cheesy, but follow your dreams! You never know where you'll end up!
