About Sydney Carter, Mph

I currently serve the Network of Behavioral Health Providers as the Policy Program and Special Projects Manager. My most immediate prior position was the Program and Policy Coordinator, and before that was the Mental Health Policy Fellow at The Network of Behavioral Health Providers in Houston, Texas. This position was a two-year, grant-funded position, provided by the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health.I graduated from the Master of Public Health (MPH) - Healthcare Management program at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health in 2020. Prior to that, I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in 2018. I majored in Operations Management from the Carl H. Lindner College of Business, and minored in Health Education from the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services.I am a passionate advocate for mental health, substance use, and awareness of these topics. I am also extremely passionate about animal welfare and feel great fulfillment in volunteering at the Houston SPCA. Additionally, I have an interest in fitness, healthy living, and personal training, and love helping others find their own versions of wellness and health. I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and experienced group fitness instructor.
