I obtained my undergraduate degree from Oakland University and my J.D. from Wayne State University College of Law. I joined PJM in 2005, and became a partner in 2010. I was admitted to practice in the Michigan courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the United States Court of Appeals for Sixth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. My practice focuses on commercial litigation, including property insurance law, coverage analysis, subrogation litigation, no fault coverages, bad faith exposure, agent negligence and cases of suspected arson and fraud. I have written and lectured at insurance conferences and seminars on property insurance law, including seminars related to arson, fraud, mortgagee issues, appraisals, issues invoving public insurance adjusters, as well as proofs of loss, interest under the Uniform Trade Practices Act and trial strategy. I have also lectured at local law schools.My trial practice includes all Michigan courts and the United States District Courts for the Eastern & Western Districts of Michigan. On numerous occasions, I have argued in the appellate courts in both Michigan and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio.
