TANK FARMS ENGINEER 2014-PresentValue Added SolutionsProvide Design Authority (DA) support as a sub-contractor to the Savannah River Site (SRS) Tank Farms. This includes providing I&C/E&I engineering support required to establish, maintain and revise as necessary the design configuration of the F & H Tank Farms. Serve as an experienced I&C/E&I engineer to resolve Instrument Calibration Documentation errors. Evaluate component-related industry and vendor material, and solve procurement issues using Puridiom. Perform 10 CFR 830.203(USQ) safety evaluations to support organizational safety goals and standards. • Practice conservative decision-making and maintain a high sensitivity for Nuclear safety in all activities, actions and responses. • Improve safety, reliability and cost through effective minor I&C/E&I design modifications and process improvements(DCF’s).• Provide engineering support for operations, maintenance activities to ensure Tank Farm design basis requirements are met.• Provide engineering support for work planning and execution to improve safety, duration and cost.• Provide proactive, innovative, cost effective and timely solutions to assigned engineering problems(STAR REA’s).

Provide Design Engineering services required to establish, maintain and revise as necessary the design configuration of Palisades Nuclear Power Plant. This includes maintaining and updating the design bases documentation that supports the design configuration. Serve as SME to resolve Instrument Calibration Documentation errors. Evaluate component-related industry and vendor material, and revise Bill-of-Materials (BOM). Perform 10CFR50.59(PAD) safety evaluations to support organizational safety goals and standards.Accomplishments:• Practice conservative decision-making and maintain a high sensitivity for reactor safety in all activities, actions and responses. • Improve safety, reliability and cost through effective design modifications and process improvements.• Provide engineering support for operations, maintenance and outage activities to ensure plant design basis requirements are met.• Provide engineering support for outage planning and execution to improve outage safety, duration and cost.• Provide proactive, innovative, cost effective and timely solutions to plant problems.

First point-of-contact support for emergent engineering issues with Operations and Maintenance. Assist in I&C troubleshooting. Serve as SME to resolve Instrument Calibration Documentation errors. Evaluate component-related industry and vendor material, and revise Bill-of-Materials (BOM). Perform 10CFR50.59 safety evaluations to support organizational safety goals and standards.Accomplishments:• Provided engineering coverage for critical 24/7 maintenance of electrical systems.• Maintained current knowledge of pressurized water reactors (PWR) and boiling water reactors (BWR) in order to develop and implement effective Nuclear Facility Design modifications.
