About Cary Oberije

As a senior researcher I have been responsible for design, sample sizing and statistical analysis of clinical trials and real-world data. In addition, I have written scientific reports for internal and external communication, including FDA submissions, and scientific articles/abstracts. My tasks also included specification, standardisation and mapping of data, ensuring high quality and correct interpretation of data.I have a firm background in epidemiology, biostatistics, health care and medical imaging. Next to conventional statistics, I have also experience with applying machine learning techniques. In addition, I have worked in an academic as well as a start-up environment. I'm passionate about research, medicine and data analysis, always curious to know more about a topic. Of special interest to me are methodological topics such as virtual trials, real-world data analysis, synthetic control arms and biomarker designs.I'm dedicated to improve health care and want my work to have a positive impact on the lives of patients.

Furthermore I ran a cardio-oncological trial and I developed a protocol for standardized data collection for lung cancer patients. I was also involved in several projects focusing on shared decision making, patient decision aids and personalized medicine.
