Responsibilities/Accomplishments-Organized and trained volunteers to knock on doors for persuasion conversations, make persuasion phone calls, collect early vote commitments, and deliver rides to the polls.Increased voter turnout above 2008 levels to 72% in the regional area of Austintown, a part of Mahoning County. Organized voter registration drives to collect over 1400 new voter registrations. Worked with Votebuilder software for data collection/analysis.

Identified and rescued distressed/drowning swimmers, and responded to any other medical emergency that occurred at Chicago's largest beach, Oak Street Beach. During the busiest days of the season, our crew worked to assist in the safe passage of the Chicago Air and Water Show, where over two million people would pass through our lakefront territory over the course of the weekend. We coordinated with local the Police and Fire Department to find lost children, respond to various medical emergencies, and oversee thousands of swimmers.
