Primary assignment involved working with NGO Perspektiva in a small town in Crimea to help them refocus themselves as a “Center for Regional Development”. Specific responsibilities involved:- leading the NGO through a strategic planning process, - developing an implementation plan for their new priorities, - consultation on various grants, - project planning, - planning marketing strategy and effective use of their website (www.sovetskiy.crimean.biz). Additional projects with Perspektiva also included - assisting local administration’s participation in a UNDP-led strategic planning effort, - support for business planning trainings at local employment center, - support for UNDP-led public awareness campaign aimed at creating small agricultural cooperatives - writing grant for partnership with regional hospital to combat the spread of tuberculosis in the rayon, funded by Peace Corps SPA program- supporting grant writing, project planning, and initial implementation efforts for two youth development projects receiving funding from the National Democratic Institute - working with a local youth football club to develop a sustainability plan for their future expansionThese activities were conducted primarily in Russian.Additional work as member of Peace Corps Small Project Assistance (SPA) committee. Responsibilities included providing coaching on grant writing to fellow volunteers, grant evaluation as part of regular grant cycle, and on-going project consultations after grant award. The committee supported over 130 projects during the 18 months that I was involved.

Participated in various customer implementation projects of proprietary AMS software with Fortune 50 customers and large Federal Government Agencies. These projects involved integrating new business acquisitions, new business processes, and the retirement of legacy systems. Various roles included training, business process analyst, and technical lead capacities, with responsibilities varying from conducting training classes, user support, and involvement in all stages of the software development lifecycle. Latest responsibilities focused largely on aspects of training and change management, explaining to users the implications of new software and all possible impacts on their daily business practices. Federal ERP Account Group (March 2004 – February 2008)Most recent project included an international implementation of a financial accounting system for USAID. Project roles consisted of user training and support, functional Subject-Matter-Expert (SME), and development of management level financial reports. Specific responsibilities ranged from developing training presentations and student exercises, data setup for overseas training sessions, domestic and international on-site user support, and documenting client requirements relating to business process changes, financial reports, and migration of legacy system data. This project involved traveling to various international locations (Colombia, Georgia, Egypt, Jordan, Mali, and Mozambique) to provide software training and support to groups ranging from 8 to more than 60 people. Environmental Systems Account Group (July 2002 – March 2004)Projects included various implementations of a proprietary software package for Fortunate 50 energy companies. Roles and responsibilities ranged from technical lead, software developer, participation in requirements definition studies, project planning, design documentation, development of test procedures, creation of user guides, and database administration.

Responsible for 33 boys on three youth soccer teams in the Under-10 age group. Duties included setting overall coaching directives for the age group, planning practice sessions, regular communication with parents throughout the year, providing a primary point of contact for parents with questions and individual issues, and serving as head coach for one team and assistant coach of the second and third teams. Additional activities include volunteering for various Club coaching clinics, and running tryouts for the age group.
