I kicked off my career in sales in the staffing industry, where I built my book of business from scratch through cold calling and led a sales team, crushing my goals along the way. Moving into a Technical Project Manager role, I helped clients with their corporate and employee giving programs and while in that role, created impactful training videos to scale my enablement efforts. This experience led me to Skillsoft as a Virtual Events Manager, where my decade-long journey in events began. I went from running virtual events to managing trade shows and large conferences, and ultimately overseeing events strategies for multiple business units and a multi-million dollar budget inclusive of sponsorship income. I booked entertainment with Pat Benetar, Black Violin, Rockcellos, and Recycled Percussion and hosted events at the Bellagio, Caesars Palace, MGM Grand, Rosen Shingle Creek, and Universal Studios. During the pandemic, I skillfully adapted to managing large digital conferences with thousands of attendees and secured big-name speakers like Shaquille O'Neal, Robyn Arzon, Leslie Odom Jr., Tara Westover, and Mary Davis, CEO of Special Olympics. Working in events sharpened my project management skills and gave me exposure to a variety of event types, from user conferences and sales kickoffs to incentive trips, while working closely with c-suite executives on board meetings, investor presentations, and participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos. The strong client relationships I developed on the road inspired my current role in customer marketing and advocacy. I developed the company's first global program, seamlessly integrated into SFDC, to capture compelling customer stories and proof points. I also revitalized and now program manage the executive advisory board. My colleagues and clients appreciate my ability to get things done with ease and agility, my knack for connecting with people, and the levity I bring to the workplace.
