Code Next is an educational program being developed and operated by Google designed to develop the next generation of black and latino computer scientists and tech leaders. The program offers free, local educational programming in engineering, computer science, and leadership to high school students. As the Leadership Instructor and Curriculum Developer for the New York site, my responsibilities include the following:• Collaboratively develop leadership curriculum that is culturally relevant and responsive that empowers youth to identify what skills and traits define a leader, develop those skills themselves, and begin to utilize them in their communities• Organize and facilitate curriculum development workshops with community partner organizations• Facilitate the leadership module of Code Next, including multiple weekly lessons and workshops for approximately 20 youth per workshop• Coordinate logistics for educational programming and lab organization
