Brett Sokolow, founder and CEO of The National Center for Higher Education Risk Management, was the featured presenter for the two-day workshop. Researched, led campus in product demonstrations, supplied recommendations based on appropriate feed-back and led implementation of four software packages. Packages included Maxient for Student Conduct, Report Exec for University Police, Campus Awareness for mandatory Title IX training for faculty, staff and students and SmartEvals for our Campus Climate Survey. Responsible for the critical development, implementation and monitoring of meaning efforts to comply with Title IX legislation, regulation and case law. Monitors university policy in relation to Title IX law developments, implementation of grievance procedures, including notification, investigation and disposition of complaints.Additional responsibilities include developing, preparing and disseminating educational materials which include, but are not limited to brochures, posters, and web-based materials that inform members of the campus community of Title IX rights and responsibilities. Serves to process in a timely manner any inquiries coming from students, faculty or staff about their rights under Title IX and grievance procedures. In addition to Title IX responsibilities, the position is also responsible for chairing the Title IX policy/procedural review committee and chairing the Clery Act data submission committee.
