Cary Miller (Born January 23rd, 1981) is a musician, singer, published songwriter, audio engineer, and record producer base out of Phoenix Arizona. In 2008 he worked as a key technical consultant and audio engineer on the MyStudio HD Recording Studio (Winner of The Hollywood Music in Media Technical Achievement Award in 2010.) In 2009 he founded Surface To Air Records with Lisa Whealy (CEO of Mountain Music Promotions.) in order to publish the critically acclaimed debut EP by singer, songwriter, and violinist Tobie Milford–Alyosha. (Produced and Engineered by Miller) Miller was born in Manhattan and grew up in New Jersey where at 18 he founded the NJ based rock band Fashion Victims. After years of being a modest success despite bad luck with major and independent labels Fashion Victims was disbanded in 2007 after appearing on Dig For Fire: A Tribute To The Pixies alongside venerated bands like OKGo and They Might Be Giants. (Released by American Laundromat Records in 2007.) Dig for Fire went on to be a number 1 charting Various Artist LP on Billboard.In 2009 Miller founded Terrible People with band-mate, (bassist and producer) Jimmy Joyce. Terrible People released a music video directed by Grammy Award winner Lionel C. Martin (Jay-Z, LL Cool Jay, TLC, Boyz II Men, Public Enemy, etc) for their first single “Bill Murray” which was later featured on their debut LP-Wireless Generation. (Released by Surface To Air Records in 2011.) In January 2013 it was announced on Echo Cloud (www.echocloud.tv) That Miller would write for a new advice column entitled "The Terrible Truth With Cary Miller" answering letters from readers with intensely technical questions about various aspects of the music industry and music production.Currently he is working as a freelance audio engineer specializing in Mixing and Mastering.Cary has extensive knowledge of Pro Tools Ultimate (HD), Excel/Word, Open Office, and Google Documents.
