A key part of my role was to assist the Education Officer with School Visits, including leading visits for up to 120 children in a day. This also involved tours for 30 children at a time, leading craft activities and designing a session for Year 11 students. This has also included helping to organise two Christmas Markets with over 8.000 visitors each year, and being responsible for around 50 stallholders. I also organised a Trail Race, attended by over 300 competitors and additional spectators. In this team I recognised the need to be flexible, organised and a definite team player. I also greatly expanded my skills with children and young people, and how to engage them in heritage in a meaningful way. -
