About Carys Morgans

I am currently employed as an Experimental Research Technician at the Australian Institute of Marine Science for the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program (RRAP) specialising in enhanced coral treatments and selective breeding for assisted evolution.Upon completion of my Masters degree in Marine Biology and Ecology at James Cook University in Townsville in 2018, I was employed as a Senior Research Diver with Blue Planet Marine as a part of the Crown of Thorns Starfish management program.My Masters thesis addressed the potential use for Symbiodiniaceae as a coral bleaching recovery method at the Australian Institute of Marine Science and was published in an issue in the journal "Restoration Ecology".
