I am a Certified Occupational Therapist with 6 years of experience providing comprehensive care to individuals with a variety of physical and neurological conditions with emphasis on promoting quality of life through implementation of client-centered treatment plans. I have had experience in inpatient and community based settings for psychological disorders. Additionally subacute and home-care based services. I have been passionate within this field beginning at a young age. At a young age I have constantly been proactive in observing, volunteering, and submerging myself in situations that will allow me to work towards my optimal goal of becoming a well rounded experienced clinician. Currently, I am a treating OTR at 3 different locations and responsible for managing my outpatient services. I have extensive experience in working with developmental disabilities ages 3-21 and 21+. I also am very involved in program development, advocacy, and created an active participant in transition team/planning.I have a strong passion for transition services for 21+ individuals that involve DDD services. As an active family member within navigating the system and my experience as an OTR extensively involved in transition planning and program development in the field, my abilities to educate and advocate have been very strong skills of mine. I am also involved with:- District wide Professional Development committee- Involved with managing services that involve fee for service and out of network billing - Consulting and participating in program development for DDD therapy and prevocational program services - Extensive experience in letters of medical necessities for equipment including but not limited to: adaptive bikes, shower chairs, non motorized wheelchairs with custom attachments, power wheelchairs, mounts, AAC devices, and more.
