Lead Flow Cytometry Specialist
CurrentPlease note that this is a split role, divided between (1) laboratory work for quality control cell biology testing in support of manufacturing processes and (2) training work for training all incoming employees to testing departments at WuXi. Pease also note that laboratory work as a lead specialist includes a hybrid of both flow-based and cell-based assays, and both are performed at a high level. - Conducts flow cytometry assays, cell-based assays, and lab procedures according to and in compliance with cGMP, CFR, and PTC guidelines and SOPs. Also performs assays at the R&D level in collaboration with technical reviewers. - Research includes work with ELISAs, tumor growth assays, fluorescent microscopy, cell viability assays, multicolor flow cytometry, aseptic technique, and cell culture of numerous adherent and suspension cell types (including stem cells and cancer cells) in a wide variety of settings (including agars, spheroids, and co-cultures). - Lab management: Maintenance of lab inventory and ordering of supplies, and performs hands-on training of new lab technicians- Produces and presents classroom training lectures for all employees entering any of the 11 testing departments at WuXi. Training lectures include GMP/GLP, GDP, Data Integrity, IT Systems, General Lab Practices, Aseptic Technique, Cell Culture of Adherent and Suspension Cell Lines, Manual Cell Counting via Hemocytometer, and Pipette Training.
