2500 cow dairy/beef operation. I am the assistant manager overseeing all departments, including calves, maternity, fresh cows, and breeding.

I was responsible for managing a multi-state territory, consisting of California (Fresno north) and Nevada. Starting from scratch, I successfully doubled our companies' base of clientele in the territory by bringing on 25 new dairies in the past two years and four months. My primary method of success was via the cold call and routine visits with key decision makers on the dairy and through nutritionists. I have succeeded in creating value for my customers by tailoring solutions to my dairymen and by managing their dairies mineral needs.

I took responsibility for the daily management of my family's850 milking cows. I oversaw daily tasks of a crew of seven, Spanish speaking, employees. I managed the daily operation of the hospital group, and was the final decision maker on cull cows and cows which to dry. On a daily basis I utilized Dairy Comp 305 for record keeping and herd analysis. I also was responsible for management of our OV Sync program and for assisting in bi-monthly herd checks, and for carrying out our vaccination program of the milking herd and young stock. I also handled regular record keeping of the dairy and bookkeeping.
