About Carol Seidl

After graduating with an MSE from the University of Michigan, I spent 17 years working in the software industry--first at Bell Laboratories, then founding, operating, and selling two software companies. As president of these enterprises, I focused on executive, marketing, and communication activities.After 17 years of unending work, my husband and I began a family. My business success afforded me the luxury of staying home with our three kids for several years. Once they were off to school, I decided to pursue my long-held passion for the French language and French culture, eventually earning an MA in French. I enjoyed every minute.I now maintain a blog where I write about French life and culture. The subject matter arises from my own studies and interests. My readers are other francophiles and French learners. The blog is in English but I include some French vocabulary and links to purely French content for advanced or native speakers. I also enjoy the challenges of French-to-English translation. I'm an avid reader of both French and English.
