The role of the Cultural Competence and Health Literacy Champion is acomplex one. The Champion has a formal leadership role within theorganization. TheChampion also understands the business imperatives for having aculturally and linguistically competent organization. - Responsible for maintaining multi-site supervision and coordination of educational programs for youth ages five to thirteen, in collaboration with three designated Wayne County School Districts;- Modernize policies and procedures to fit the safety needs of a technology-influenced society;- Update, organize and revitalize staff fall orientation week, and on-site orientation which includes program and curriculum development, professional development, policies and procedures, safety briefings, and overall professionalism; - Develop and oversee a comprehensive yearly self-assessment for the AAS program. - Manage and monitor three NYS OCFS budgets at $200,000 each annually; - Ensure strict compliance with NYS OCFS School Aged Childcare regulations, staff training, community program promotion, school district relations and parent interaction;- Listen, respond and resolve community complaints;- Interact with other program directors, AAS parents, various community programs, agencies and school districts to ensure good community relations and to advocate for families;Interact with state programs, agencies and organizations to be aware of issues and trends affecting school-aged childcare;- Work with management and staff, as well as outside agencies and the local government to meet the needs of the community in an effective and timely manner and fiscally responsible manner; - Hire, train, evaluate and supervise three site supervisors and thirty one front-line child program aide;- Maintain and report on child enrollment, child activities, family involvement, and staffing on both federal and state reports; - Updated child/family registration process for enrollment and ensured accurate rosters;

Job duties include equipment and vehicle inspections at start of shift, provide emergency rescue and basic life support care in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings. Provide direct assessment, care, management, transport and transfer of ill/injured patients following established care protocols.
