Formed a standards body for Calm Tech Principles. This initiative aims to establish partnerships with companies to promote and integrate the principles of Calm Tech into their current and future product lines.

I’ve joined the governance board of Superset, a new DAO with a challenging but important mission: To give people more control and better benefits from their own user data.Superset is independent of Delphia, with a legally enshrined purpose of constraining Delphia’s power over its users’ data.For roughly the last 15 years, as social networks and advertising platforms grew in reach and power, there have been many attempts to create a kind of coalition that acts in the best interests of the users and their data. There have been proposals about more ethical uses of data, as well as data trusts and data DAOs. But so far, none of them have caught on. Success is not achieved solely from what is built, but also how it fits into an ecosystem. Data governance and data commercialization need to be pursued symbiotically, rather than antagonistically.SuperSet provides a model for user-centric oversight for any companies to ethically manage their users' data. Puma’s goal to empower users, respect user privacy, and provide new models for web payments are in line with my desire to build a more ethical, human-friendly internet. This is the future I dreamed of when I was younger - a web that acts for the benefit of users and not monolithic tech giants.

• Reported to the CIO of Healthways (now Tivity Health), the nation’s largest wellness company. Ran a division of the company concerned with emerging technology and mobile applications. • Created and managed the team, managed product deliverables, and worked with executives on overall vision.

• Created, staffed and ran Esri’s Portland R&D Center. Reported directly to the CTO of Esri. • Created the developer arm of the company and scaled the developer website to over one million visitors a month. Grew our products from 2 - 5 million users.

• Geoloqi provided a reliable, private, and battery-safe location service for developers. • Raised all funding for the company, built the team, product, user experience and marketing. Sold the company in 2 years and became head of R&D at the parent company.

Aaron Parecki and I co-founded Geoloqi. We left our day jobs to raise funding to pursue Geoloqi full time.

Designed and specified user interfaces for large-scale, custom applications, conducted user requirements and task analysis, produced user requirements specifications, personas, scenarios, wireframes, flow diagrams, design prototypes, and design specifications. Collaborated remotely and in person with interdisciplinary teams. Gave live and written presentations. Led team effort to quickly create applications for iPhone, iPad and Android using new technologies formerly unfamiliar to the development team.

Greenit! was a garage-based startup founded in 2006 at Lewis & Clark college by several students. Mario Landau Holdsworth and I researched the future electric vehicle market and settled on creating an electric vehicle charging platform (hardware and software installation) for Apartments and Condo units. During this time, I used my engineering background to create several patents, the first CAD/CAM models for the charging stations, and I helped define business strategy and research in anticipation of a 10 year market opportunity. After some time, I left to start Geoloqi and became an advisor and shareholder. Greenit! later became Evercharge, and in 2022 it was acquired by SK E&S.

Worked with Wieden+Kennedy's Global Director of PR and creative teams to execute digital campaigns for Old Spice, Levi's, EA's Dante's Inferno and Target. Implemented social media monitoring systems for Amsterdam, London and Portland. Managed the @wiedenkennedy Twitter account.

One of three bloggers chosen to write for Discovery Channel's Nerdabout.com on a contract basis. Covered local and national tech events and conferences three times a week.

Participated in weekly thinktank meetings. Discussed innovative new ways of distributing and creating online media. Applying theory to reality through researching ubiquitous computing, interface design and the structure and function of complex social groups.

Managed, created and scheduled E-mail marketing campaigns for industry clients with lists of 10-30K subscribers. Created signup forms and strategized with the marketing department for tactical content development.

Designed business websites for Cheyenne area small businesses. Scheduled individual meetings with clients, scoped out project work, and built custom websites to meet strict deadlines.

I took 5 college engineering classes while enrolled in high school through the program called Project Lead the Way, sponsored by Lockheed Martin. I became proficient in GCode. 3D printing, Autodesk Inventor, and the principles of bridge design. The classes were collaborative, competitive, and fast-paced. This set of courses gave me a deep understanding of trigonometry and other tools I use daily.

Artstreet is a youth skill and leadership training program developed by Mayor Wellington Webb of Denver, Colorado. I worked with 20 others, ages 14-21, to develop two websites for the city of Denver. During this time, I also learned Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash as well as team skills I use every day in my current career.
