• Lead CTO-sponsored initiative to evaluate and select an Enterprise Portfolio Management solution to inventory, assess and transform the application/technology portfolios and to align IT with business strategy across all lines of business, including Showtime, CBS Television Network, Distribution, Local Media and Simon & Schuster. • Developed an Integration Strategy/Roadmap and Integration Patterns Library to: assess the current integration landscape, including cost and complexity drivers; identify goals (simplification, consistency, shared cost models, improved agility/TTM); define desired end state; provide practical guidance to solution architects.

Established the Enterprise Architecture program at Everest Re, which consists of the Architecture Board, Executive Steering Committee and Technical Working Groups, in order to align IT and business strategy, prioritize IT investment, develop future state architecture roadmaps, provide project governance and promote reuse across the organization.Key Projects and Initiatives:• Spearheaded the introduction and adoption of new development and ALM processes, tools, techniques and environments at Everest Re, including Agile/Scrum, unit testing (TDD), Azure cloud-based development and Visual Studio Online (i.e., "TFS Online"​).• Program Manager for SharePoint 2013-based Submission Management System, an innovative solution that enables Everest's underwriting teams to process broker submissions electronically, using a configurable workflow-driven “checklist” process.

Client:KPMG International, ITS Global – Montvale, NJ 5+ year engagement as ITAP Advisor (Enterprise Architect) to Global Enterprise Architecture team at “Big 4” professional services firm, a “Top 5” Microsoft global account by revenue, reporting to Chief Architect.Supported Microsoft account team in technical pre-sales capacity to help secure the renewal of two global Enterprise Agreements (~$50M each) and SQL Server EAP ($15.6M). Identified numerous consulting revenue opportunities at KPMG, and participated in scoping, estimation and SOW preparation.Supported the Audit business unit ($16B in annual revenue) as Technical Architect and liaison to Microsoft product groups. Designed and delivered on several technical initiatives to enhance key functional areas and to improve reliability/scalability of eAudIT, KPMG’s audit delivery platform.Key Projects:• As Microsoft’s representative to the “Global Integration Initiative”, sponsored KPMG’s participation in the TAP program for Microsoft's new “private PaaS” messaging product: “Azure Service Bus 1.0 and Workflow Manager for Windows Server”. Designed and developed a POC to showcase the technology’s capabilities, and successfully promoted its adoption as a global standard for messaging/integration.• Proposed and performed a Multi-Tenant Database Analysis for eAudIT Online that was broadly endorsed by KPMG stakeholders and then adopted as the design blueprint for eAudIT Online.• Developed custom workgroup connectivity and storage solutions for eAudIT platform using WCF (with X.509 certificates for secure communication) and SQL Server (with FILESTREAM for unstructured data storage), enabling retirement of the Groove platform. These solutions were subsequently deployed to 80,000+ auditors’ laptops in 130+ countries.• Envisioned, designed and delivered the "Discovery Service" solution for eAudIT, a WCF-based solution that enables workgroup-connected machines to find each other on the network using UDP broadcasts.

Client: ACE Insurance Limited Member of Enterprise Architecture Group, reporting to CTO, at $87B commercial property and casualty insurer. Responsibilities include establishing process methodologies and global standards; identifying and designing reusable components and services; evaluating new technologies; mentoring development teams; logical/physical system analysis and modeling.• Architected the GlobalCAT Risk Management platform, which enables underwriters to accurately assess risk exposure for their global accounts and portfolios. GlobalCAT leverages BizTalk Server 2004 to integrate multiple 3rd-party catastrophe modeling engines and geo-coding services with the ACE Pricing Service, which applies proprietary business rules and scientific formulas to calculate risk models.• Designed and developed a Web single sign-on (SSO) solution, which federates authentication and authorization across multiple external-facing broker applications.Client: GeoLogistics, Inc Architecture and Program Management role at GeoLogistics, a $4.5B multi-national logistics integrator, reporting to CIO. Managed on-site (Manchester, U.K.) and off-shore (Pune, India) teams throughout the delivery lifecycle for the GeoVista extranet web portal project.• Architected and delivered the GeoVista portal, which allows GeoLogistics’ customers and agents to track shipments worldwide via a web-based, self-service interface.

Responsible for architecture of all web-based, B2B eCommerce and portal initiatives, including the SharpBizNet.com extranet platform, which generates over $20 million per month in revenue.• SharpBizNet platform features centralized, role-based authentication (Site Server P&M), customer-specific product catalogs (imported from SAP iDocs via MQSeries), content-management, distributed transactions (SQL, SAP/BAPI), and real-time order status.• Designed and deployed several .NET-based extranet solutions, including the Sharp Easy Accounting System, using C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, SQL Server 2000, Windows 2000, and Application Center 2000. Developed prototypes to evaluate Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 and Commerce Server 2002 for SharpBizNet platform migration.

Co-founded startup and developed the VeoTech Encrypting File System (VEFS), an enterprise-class security product that secures data using dynamic, role-based symmetric-key encryption.• Developed solution concept for VEFS product and secured $2M of venture capital funding for software start up• Supervised and mentored the Development, QA and Systems Engineering teams throughout the product development cycle. Established design, development, testing and release management tools and processes, based on the Rational Unified Process (RUP).
