As a servant-leader in education, I serve our students, their parents, my staff, and the community. From managing faculty and staff, to serving meals in the cafeteria for students, I am committed to doing whatever needs done in order to have a smooth operating system. My hope is to demonstrate that we are a team who supports one another and are willing to help others. I strive to be the kind of leader I respect, one who is consistent, fair, human, transparent, available, and experienced.At the end of the day, empowering others is what I do. I enjoy helping educators find the tools they need to simplify, organize, and streamline their classrooms — taking plans from conception to reality. I believe education is the key to any locked door. Anyone can learn when the curriculum and instruction are differentiated in design and implementation to accommodate the diversity of learners. A successful learning environment can be achieved through high expectations, data-driven goals, and collaboration with all stakeholders.My competitive spirit means I don’t give up just because something is hard. I keep going. Keep trying. As a natural planner, I stay ahead of deadlines and upcoming projects, allowing time for things to fall into place while being mindful of details. Most importantly, I am committed to continuous improvement. In education, for example, whether you are the largest, wealthiest district, or the smallest school in a rural area, every community has room for improvement. The process is the same no matter your circumstance and there is always something to improve.
