During my time as a maintenance planner I have always strived to increase plant OEE. One of the main things I have done is decrease the number of open work orders while increasing PM completion percentage. Also using reliability centered techniques. I continually take on new responsibilities to broaden my view and increase my roles. While at Armstrong I have been put in charge of many things. Some of my duties include planning all maintenance activities (mechanical, electrical, production and contractor work orders and PM's), coordinating all of our scales calibrations, contractor safety, maintenance safety coordinator, constantly working with contractors (janitorial, lawn care, sheet metal workers, HVAC companies, crane inspectors etc.), and filling in as maintenance supervisor when needed. I have reduced the number of open work orders from 900+ to less than 200 in the first year in the job.I have also increased the PM completion percentage 60 to 90+. I have done this through proper scheduling and increasing wrench time with kitting parts. I continually look to improve the process through tracking multiple metrics. My role at Pactiv was very diverse. I was in charge of leading PM events, Kaizen/TPM events, computer aided drafting and safe work instructions. We would do weekly shutdown events. I would schedule and lead preventative and predictive maintenance activities. I also did all of the computer aided rafting for the plant. This would include updating the plant drawings, electrical prints and mechanical prints. Creating safe work instructions was also a big part of my job. I created safe work instructions for all mechanical, electrical and production PM's. I also created safe work instructions for all of the standard work procedures for maintenance and production. In summary, I am always willing to take on new responsibilities. I always strive to improve plant efficiency. I always push for a safe team orientated work environment.
