With a B.A. in Sustainability Studies and an M.A. in Public Policy from Stony Brook University, I am passionate about driving sustainable development and environmental policy. During my internship with the Suffolk County Department of Economic Development and Planning, I honed my skills in urban planning and policy analysis as a junior member of the Suffolk County Planning Commission. My responsibilities included writing staff reports on development proposals, analyzing land use implications of marijuana legalization, understanding the SEQRA review process, and utilizing GIS software.Currently, I serve as the Sustainability Coordinator at Biocogent, LLC, where I lead initiatives to embed sustainability into our company’s operations and supply chain. As Chair of the Sustainability Committee, I coordinate efforts to implement and monitor policies that advance our sustainability goals. I also review facility operations to enhance energy efficiency and waste reduction, lead our traceability program for sustainable sourcing of botanicals, and maintain databases to track our progress.My commitment to sustainability is reflected in my proactive approach to creating and executing strategies that not only benefit the environment but also drive organizational efficiency and innovation. I am dedicated to fostering a culture of sustainability that supports both our business objectives and the well-being of our planet.
