My passion has always been cybersecurity and consider myself lucky to be able to surround myself with like minded individuals from across the globe for most of my career.My approach to security leadership is informed by a diverse set of roles over a 16 year career. I have worn many hats, from security operations, pen-testing, audit, and incident response. With this experience I bring a unique set of experiences to inform how I develop solutions and solve problems.As a security leader I subscribe to the "hire smart people and get out of their way" approach. I encourage healthy team discourse and promote team buy-in when formulating solutions. I strongly encourage furthering education and a healthy work life balance to ensure everyone on the team are the best versions of themselves.I pride myself in leading a team with little turnover in a role that has a well known reputation for high turn over.I view my approach to leadership with three areas of focus:1) Provide a forward thinking strategic vision for our program2) As advisor to senior leadership regarding solutions, priorities, and budget3) As an advocate for the people on my team. Identify their needs and provide them whenever possible
