I have been exposed through the world of travel to many different cuisines and cultures. My travels have repeatedly taken me back to every corner of France and shaped the way I approach eating and dining and socializing.Beginning in 1975, and for many years after that, I toured France on my own BMW motorcycle, camping every night in primitive or official sites and always enjoying the quest for finding good ingredients in the smallest of village stores. I cooked some incredible meals on my little camp stove.....once I cooked a chicken with all it's parts, even neck and head that my husband obligingly wrung.....a super Coq Au Vin!In 1979, I switched to seeing the world by bicycle. I loved the physical part of testing my endurance, all the while still camping and learning the joys of cooking in a basic environment.Then in 1983, my husband and I formed a bicycle touring company called Les Paniers that we ran for 5 years. We offered a one week tour of both Provence and the Loire Valley and led our clients through the fanciest chateau hotels, eating all the while in 2 and 3 star restaurants. Because of these two very distinct exposures, my interest and talent grew in the art of cooking. I began reading and collecting cookbooks, taking numerous cooking classes and just experimenting with my own guests in my home.Cooking is my passion and that is why the food I create is really like me.....interesting, fanciful, colorful, and exciting. I love flavors and spices and the joy of combining them with super ingredients.For the past two years, I have been catering and creating wonderful food for people and am always open to new ideas and venues to show my talents.Specialties: cycle touring, cooking, healthy supplements, anti-aging products
