Casey has substantial experience successfully representing plaintiffs and defendants in district court litigations, inter partes review (IPR) proceedings, and U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) investigations. These experiences have included representations that are related to wireless communications (e.g., 3G, 4G/LTE, 3G, and Wi-Fi), smartphones, geolocation, light-emitting diodes (LED), semiconductors, headphones, countertop appliances, toys, digital advertising, and delivery of digital content.In addition to his litigation experience, Casey has handled IP asset management, licensing, opinion work, and investigations in connection with business acquisitions. He also has counseled clients and prosecuted patent applications in the mechanical and electrical arts, including sports equipment, digital memory architectures, 3D printing, scanning systems (e.g., LiDAR), non-fungible token (NFTs), blockchain, digital payment systems, cryptocurrency, lighting fixtures, exercise equipment, smartphone applications, wireless communications (e.g., 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G), and digital entertainment.Casey has also served as a judicial intern at the ITC under Chief Administrative Law Judge, Charles E. Bullock.Prior to law school, Casey worked as a lead mechanical and electrical engineer for General Dynamics. In this role, he designed and developed various wireless communication systems relating to tactical radio networks and decryption systems.
