Responsible for improving the quality of child care for infants, toddlers and two-year olds, with a focus on at-risk children, by providing training, technical assistance and capacity-building in child care settings. Functions as a Consultant to others and brings an effective understanding and practices in high quality child care as it relates to and affects child development, especially for infants, toddlers and two-year olds. Have thorough knowledge of programs including PITC, ITERS and others.Supportive/assistive roles of the position include development of quality improvement plans; development of toddler training programs that can be offered statewide; distance support in matters of technical assistance; on-site assistance based on assessments.Through identification of infant and toddler service needs, will develop and organize resources for staff in areas of recruitment of practitioners for training; provide toddler resources and guidance to staff; source and develop materials for the CCR & R resource library. Develop, administer and evaluate the child care recruitment plan for DuPage and Kane counties.Participate in ongoing professional development in order to improve knowledge; understand new developments in the field; develop new expertise; assist in the planning and facilitation of early childhood trainings for staff.

Introducing this framework to early educators and support implementation of this model. Elevate knowledge and practices of early educators to help them build skills for supporting nurturing and responsive caregiving, create learning environments, provide social-emotional skills, and support children with challenging behavior.

Serve as Infant Head Teacher in a DCFS accredited program and a rated star program according to the Quality Rating Scale. Use portfolios and developmental checklists to document and asses the development of a class of at least 12 children.Planned and implemented developmentally appropriate activities for children six weeks through fifteen months of agePerform all duties of closing the center, including verifying departure of children and staff together with securing the building
