I work for Michigan Medicine as a Business Analyst with the Clinical Applications team and was honored to become the team lead in November 2022. I currently support our Cardiology and Pulmonary operations, with about a quarter of my time spent on the Intelerad\Lumedx Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS) suite of applications and interfaces. My current responsibilities include typical analyst duties like gathering requirements and analyzing workflows but I also do all the data analysis and reporting using Sql Server Reporting Services for our Catheterization labs. For certain projects, I also do some software development using VB .Net and MS SQL Server with the Intelerad\Lumedx CVIS. One minute I might be managing user account security while the next writing SQL queries for a research project or implementing a new HL7 interface. I also help usher new system purchases through the RFP process (request for proposal) and our Demand\Project process which involves working with various internal teams on SOW, scope and financial budgets.I like working as both an Analyst and a Developer, as I enjoy meeting with users and writing business requirements but I also love the challenge of putting those ideas together and helping develop applications to meet those needs. In other words, I love working with people and building cool stuff. When I combine them I'm a happy man!I enjoy learning new things so currently I'm taking linkedin learning classes around Agile development, Cloud computing and AWS along with Python. I eventually want to get a combined Masters of Business and Information Systems or possibly a data analytics degree.
