Graduate Computer Analyst
As a Graduate compute Analyst in the integrations team the main priority was to develop software to integrate into the current estate. Guidewire was the main application used throughout Admiral to process policies and therefore I also performed some development on this.

Intern - Web Applications Development
Intern at Arqiva with the project to document the CDP (Continuous Development Pipeline) build test and release process using various tools such as JIRA, bamboo, crucible, sonarqube, HP WebInspect, threadfix and media wiki to produce documentation via php plugins.I had to learn how to use and interlink these tools in order to automate as much as possible/plausible in the build, test and release process. I edited the threadfix open source community edition to be more suitable for the company. I wrote scripts to check scan results provided by HP WebInspect. I then wrote a CDP Project Set Up guide which can be followed in the future when the company sets up a new project. I used diagrams to explain the flow in a visual form so that new employees could also see how these tools interlink as well as how to set them up for the first time. I also researched into Docker and Vagrant to be able to give a personal opinion on which tool I preferred and which I believed was more suitable for the business. Within JIRA the team wanted to be able to produce reports. As the company uses an older version of JIRA I researched the suitable plugins/tools that they could use and analysed the pros and cons of them.
Student Teacher
Firstly I observed teachers of ICT/Computer Science classes. After a few weeks I worked with my colleagues to plan a series of lessons teaching various ages how to program. The younger children learnt how to use Scratch, whilst we taught the older ones Python.I had to self teach myself both these languages before teaching the children. In addition to teaching these classes we also ran a lunch time and after school club, focusing on web development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Various ages and abilities attended these sessions and we had to cater the material to suit their specific needs.Very positive feedback was given from the staff and students at the school when I left and was offered the chance of going back to help out whenever I pleased.
Hospitality
I worked for an agency fulfilling many positions at various locations.Mostly I have dealt in hospitality - waitressing and bar work. I have waitressed at weddings in Margam Orangery. I have also worked on the bar in the Llanelli Scarlets stadium as well as waitressing at the Liberty stadium and racecourse in Llanelli. I have also been a cleaner in various locations including residential homes with vulnerable people.I have to quickly adapt myself to new surroundings and colleagues each time I work, aiming to become a temporary member of their team and completing the tasks given to the best of my ability.
Summer Intern
During my time at the Alacrity Foundation I worked on creating a series of webpages for ATOS. The project aim was to create an internal free lancing site that the current workers at ATOS could use during their free time in order to gain bonuses or other rewards. To complete this I taught myself how to use laravel and bootstrap to create the website. Upon leaving the managers were very pleased with my progress and wished me all the best in my third year at university, with the hope that I would return at some point in the future.
