Working within the criminal justice mental health services, assist justice-involved individuals with mental health concerns to find available treatment, resources, and programs. Identify and track required treatment plans for clients within the program. Outreach to mental health providers and community stakeholders in order to provide the most updated services available.

Planning life skills programs to complement therapeutic treatment within the mental health clinic. Outreach to the community, including military, veteran, and civilian providers and programs.

Assist Soldiers going through career transition.Brief workshops on job choice, military-to-civilian terminology, and needs assessment.Chaired committee which created standards used by 60% of counselors when updating client records.Update client records to indicate attendance and participation in mandated program.Family services specialist for those leaving the military and looking for employment.

Killeen/Temple, Texas Area

Relationship building between principal, staff, families, volunteers, and community at a large elementary school.Increased involvement of parents in the school setting with the goal of improving test scores.Assists in the distribution of parent education materials when making contact with parents, teachers, and volunteers to explain district, parent education, and volunteer opportunities.Assists in coordinating, scheduling, and leading meetings creating interaction between parents, teachers, and volunteers. Began "Timber Talk," a program between teachers, administrators, volunteers, and parents, designed to address local and educational needs.Designed and implemented improvements on an early educational intervention program running twice weekly, called "Little Rangers". Children ages birth to age four who were not enrolled in preschool came with their parents to enjoy crafts, music, and educational fun.

Fort Hood, Texas

 FOA Teams are small, elite groups of soldiers and civilians processing needs and wants of soldiers down range in Afghanistan and other deployed hot spots. Timely information is crucial for the families. Update official Army USAOTC Facebook page to comply with Fort Hood regulations, and in constant contact with Public Affairs Office. Participated in Fort Hood/US Army Social Media workshop, learning the interconnectedness of an effective social media campaign. Assist OTC in communicating with families across five states. Communication includes family notifications regarding time away from home, updating family information rosters, and disseminating roster information between the Headquarters Commander and Family Programs Assistant. Design and write monthly newsletter, collaborating with senior officials in two separate countries for updates, photos and information. Update events, photos, and pertinent information about OTC as well as Army and local news for the OTC community through the Facebook page as administrator.

Fort Hood, Texas

 Coordinated media relations with Fort Hood Sentinel, Killeen Daily Herald, and III Corps Public Affairs during annual awareness campaigns. Used diverse social media pages to forward important information and updates about programs and workshops, making sure that multiple communities and local groups would receive our information. Provided a monthly calendar of events for all Family Advocacy programs, coordinating schedules of multiple programs and trainings. Responsible for reporting point of contact hotline (287-CARE) , receiving complex reports of abuse as well as filling out required paperwork for all contacts as required by Army and Department of Defense regulation

I was a liaison between the families, Soldiers and the command staff, serving as an administrative position when needed.
