Broken Hill Operation resumed operating at the start of 2011. At this point the mine had no personnel, equipment, procedures or a maintenance structure • Keep up to date with the changes in Australian Standards and regulations to ensure that the mine remains compliant• Liase with electrical engineer to ensure that systems that are in place are maintained • Created management control plans by conducting BBRA’s on critical risks in accordance with WHS (mines) act and regulation – this includes our Electrical Engineering Control Plan• Recruit and supervise an electrical team to install and maintain electrical infrastructure• Implementation of work orders and preventative maintenance tasks to cover all plant on site for maintenance and statutory testing• Identify areas of waste or poor use of power/resources and implement actions to rectify issues so as to ensure that we operate efficiently and within our set budgets• Assist in the design and installation of underground SCADA system to allow for remote monitoring and control of underground infrastructure• Compile capital and operating budgets• Assist with works required to enable the design registration of our powered winding system on site• Design changes to overhead 22kV system to incorporation additional isolation points for maintenance• Assist with the implementation of remote loader systems to site.
