About Casey Bond
I like good design. I also have a solid business sense, and the two make a great combo. My journey has been a fun one. I studied Marketing because I enjoyed not only convincing people about why a product fits their needs, but also looking upstream at long-term strategies around WHICH problems to solve. I’ve been immersed in the world of design over the past two decades, which has had a profound impact on my outlook and approach to problems. Exposure to design thinking and roles within product management have galvanized this space for me. I cut my teeth in the contract furniture industry, shifted to retail in PD and merchandising roles, and then the culmination of these led me to a progression of PM-focused roles tasked with leading a team to grow a portfolio across channels and regions.I stand at the intersection of design, PD, marketing, strategy, finance, sales, retail, and engineering, and thrive in the dynamic vortex around product. I’ve developed go-to-market strategies and business cases to drive customer acquisition and grow market share. While product, marketing and merchandising have been at the core of my efforts; process, specification and delivery have also been critical elements in the customer journey that I’ve helped improve. I enjoy helping others overcome problems to reach their full potential.I’m a creator at my core, but that’s not necessarily the first word I’d use to describe myself. I love to build and create things, with my own hands or with a team. I love to build presentations as much as I love to renovate a bathroom and make both look beautiful in the process. I find it extremely fulfilling to develop something out of an idea/problem and see it come to life.I love design. And Excel. This seems to be a dichotomy but truly represents my interests and skills. I can decode loads of data and develop a mean report, using vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables and charts. I love analyzing data and translating it into visual forms to tell a persuasive story.I’m tenacious, unflappable and curious. I’m a continuous learner, always looking to expand my knowledge and skills. I love to travel. I’m multilingual: I speak design, marketing, finance, engineering and sales fluently (I also know a bit of Spanish but have let that slip over time). I’m a storyteller. Brevity is not my strength, but I’m working on it.If our paths have crossed (or have yet to cross), or if you’ve got similar interests/experiences, let’s connect!Professional Skills | ExperienceProduct Management | PD | Marketing | Retail | Ecomm | B2B | Strategic Planning
