Since qualifying at Postgraduate level with distinction (1st class) in 2011, I have had a successful career supporting children aged 18 months to 18 years in education settings, clinics and homes in and around London.From 2011-2019 I worked for the London Children’s Practice (formerly Ruth Jacobs’ Children’s Therapy), one of the largest and best-known paediatric Speech and Language Therapy practices in the UK. Here I held the position of lead Schools’ Speech and Language Therapist as well as acting as Schools’ Clinical Advisor to my colleagues. Between us we worked in some of the country’s most prestigious Independent schools.From 2015-2023 I also worked for Wandsworth Hearing Support Service with secondary-aged D/deaf students, a passion and now specialism of mine.I set up Inside Out Therapy in 2019 to combine my experience and skills from both these roles, my practice being initially based in London and later relocating to the home counties.My first degree in English Language and Linguistics, postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy, and my varied experience working with a diverse paediatric population across London have equipped me with skills for supporting children of all ages with wide-ranging communication profiles.Working in both the state and independent sectors has given me access to training and mentoring, ensuring that my clinical practice falls in line with the current evidence base.I have a complete and up-to-date enhanced DBS check and I am committed to ongoing safeguarding training.I am regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and am a certified member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP).
