https://theturtleroom.com/about/staff/casey-l/-The mission of the Turtle Room is to aid in the education, conservation, and survival of the world's turtle and tortoise species through developing educational resources; enabling our staff to work with other organizations (Association of Zoos and Aquariums and Turtle Survival Alliance) and privately to develop quality, detailed captive breeding programs of carefully selected turtle and tortoise specimens; and supporting other organizations that conserve and/or educate about turtles, tortoises, and their care.-Reports to the Executive Director and the Director of Husbandry-Works with the Director of Animal Husbandry and Conservation Husbandry Specialists to develop and adapt care protocol into a measurable, repeatable, and understandable format-Official conservation partner for the Association of Zoos and Aquariums-Collaborates with the Executive Director to develop and adapt data keeping procedures-Responsible for monitoring data and verifying that all data-keeping procedures are followed -Assists the Directors with all other organizational management-Over-sees day-to-day operations not related to animal husbandry-Supervises daily job responsibilities of staff/volunteers, establish/distributes work schedules to supervised staff/volunteers, checks work and provides adequate feedback, plans training and development for staff/volunteers
