Casey is a senior manager in EY’s IT Consulting Services practice with more than 13 years of professional services experience. He has been instrumental in providing critical IT risk services to a variety of clients, including internal audits, IT infrastructure, governance, service organization control reporting and internal control compliance assessments. He has experience in leading international teams for large engagements in the banking, manufacturing, consumer products, technology and health care industries. Casey maintains his certified public accountant (Minnesota and North Dakota CPA), certified information system auditor (CISA) and certified information privacy technologist (CIPT) titles.He has led teams conducting internal audits, both business and IT, for major technology and healthcare companies. These internal audits include assessing the risks that impact the processes and identifying controls that address the risks in areas of security, secure SDLC, privacy governance and business processes with integrated IT reviews. He has performed process improvement engagements to help teams identify ways how to improve their processes to maximize ROI. He used analytics to identify ways to improve data linkage between systems to find ways to improve the process to link the data as it flows through the process. He has led financial integrated IT audit engagements for banking, manufacturing, consumer products, technology and health care insurance companies, including assessing design and operating effectiveness of IT general controls within a variety of technologies and identifying deficiencies within the client’s control structure and providing recommendations in line with industry leading practices. Casey has led teams of up to 40 personnel, including team members in the US and India, to successfully meet regulatory and client objectives. His responsibilities included managing team members that performed the work plans, developing and managing project budgets, organizing and staffing projects, and reporting status and project milestones. He managed SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits and reporting for a global health care provider and a global retail bank and managed reviews of SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports from service organizations to support audits.
