I have worn many hats in my twelve years working in the field of ophthalmology. I initially started out as an Ophthalmic Assistant with a smaller practice and quickly realized I wanted to grow and learn more in this field. After my transition to the corporate world, I was able to acquire my CPC which helped me understand so much about the world of coding (I mean... why is ophthalmology so special that they get their own codes, haha!)I then went on to become an adjunct instructor for our local community college and enjoyed over four years of being able to teach ophthalmology practices to students.Now I am able to utilize my talents for both teaching and the niche-speciality of Ophthalmology as a Training Consultant for ModMed. Not only do I get to travel all over the USA teaching others, I am able to be a part of an amazing and talented team!When I am not on the job you can usually find me exploring outside somewhere. I am an avid hiker, back-packer, and mushroom forager. There is so much beautiful world that I have not yet experienced, but it's on my list!
