Second level underwriting review of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA loans

Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, approving and underwriting large, unusual or complex individual consumer requests and products within company and industry guidelines. Reviewed financial statements, credit reports, appraisal, title, and all asset documentations.

Trained new and current employees on all newly developed policies and procedures. Created job aids, and procedures for all job specific mortgage roles. Subject matter expert for the underwriting, closing and post closing roles. Trained don income documents, regulations, fraud , and credit systems.

Investigated mortgage loan application for possible fraud. Used a high level of analytical skills, experience and credit/underwriting guidelines. Made recommendations to clients to minimize loss exposure based on findings. Reviewed all income documentation, deeds, title, appraisals, and credit reports. Hosted training sessions for new clients on the proprietary fraud system in order for them to fluently use it.

Approved and declined mortgage loans for second mortgages including lines of credit and mortgages. Evaluated credit worthiness of borrowers by reviewing and documenting income. Reviewed tax returns, income documents, titles, appraisal, HUD-1's.
