I am working towards continually improving the radiation hardness of SpaceX systems. Throughout my time at SpaceX, I've performed all tasks required to characterize a space system for ionizing radiation environments: SEE testing, TID testing, SEE rate predictions, system modelling and simulations• technical lead for the radiation hardness of our Crew and Cargo Dragon spacecraft• Performed risk calculations that started to particle interactions at the device level and ended with system level risk numbers to crew safety and mission success• Assisted in testing at proton therapy centers in order to characterize vulnerabilities• Created computation software used for predicting environments and quantifying risk (python)• Worked with NASA to ensure the best possible product while maintaining an aggressive schedule for certification• Conducted trade studies with the goal of optimizing avionics architecture with respect to ionizing radiation• Created software tools that performed varied tasks from data logging and report generation to a job submission manager for shared resources• Made a software tool in Python that processed all test data and performed basic data analysis and gathered statistics on the testing performed

I worked to ensure that the launch vehicle and space craft are both compatible with the external electromagnetic environment encountered during a mission and not vulnerable to internal interference between various subsystems. Areas of concern include: lighting attachment, electrostatic discharge, and ionized radiation. Also wrote software tools for the group including an internal webpage that queried a database and plotted data and a python script that performed generic calculations and automatically packaged them into a presentation that could be read via PowerPoint and Excel (all python).

Worked in a low temperature physics lab where I assissted in efforts to refurbish a dated scanning electron microscope. I programmed the controller that excersised the piezo electric inchworm (labview).

worked in the EMC/EMI group. Focused on controls for ESD protection on the spacecraft by performing detailed grounding analysis (pSpice). Designed a box that flew on a development vehicle.

Worked in a lab studying the sythesis process of silicon nano springs, a nano structure similar to nano fibers. I did work in optimizing the growing process by performing a growth study to optimize the output of our lab.
