In my work experience, I have shown strong dedication and commitment to my roles from both an organizational and productive standpoint. I always aim to perform at my highest level and often take on leadership roles in projects and groups. My devotion to education can be shown through my pursuance of both a major and minor, along with graduating from Millard North High School with a secondary International Baccalaureate Diploma. I highly value a strong work ethic and pride myself on my organization/neatness. I spend much of my free time doing hobbies such as knitting and reading as I find it important to give the mind a break from the heavy engineering curriculum and allow for a creative outlet. My past job experiences have taught me a significant amount about productively interacting with others and sticking to schedules/deadlines. Apart from work, these skills come in handy when collaborating with teams to complete coursework and major projects. I strive to be a positive influence in any group and am always aiming to better myself. Throughout my educational career I have led various teams and organizations, including the Spanish Honors Society and several course projects. One project in particular gave me the opportunity to lead a group of 15 other students in my discipline through the semester-long design, construction, and programming of a small, fixed wing UAV. Another project allowed for collaboration amongst my four-member team in the redesign and CAD modelling of a Basler BT-67 empennage based on the aircraft's renovations from the Douglas DC-3.IHaving studied abroad in Merida, MX in the Yucatan Peninsula, I take pride in my ability to speak both English and Spanish fluently. I cherish any opportunity to learn about and engage with new cultures and see good communication as one of the highest priorities in any group and scenario. I'm a very outgoing individual and have always loved learning more about other people's stories and how things work, whether big or small. From structures to propulsion, I've always been keen on furthering my understanding of flight both in and out of atmosphere. I am skilled in many areas of structures and aerodynamics, as is shown by my high educational achievements. At the moment I find structural analysis quite interesting, though I am also very intrigued by flight dynamics and systems engineering. I find both aircraft and spacecraft to be fascinating and would be more than pleased to work in either field. I believe I am a strong asset to any team as I work well with a wide variety of individuals.
